Shower mistakes you're making

Hello Darlings, you've probably come to the conclusion that your shower regime is and will always be what you think is right. Well, that may not be the case. There are things that you may think you're doing right in the shower but it's actually really bad for your skin.

1) Too much heat
     Showering with too much heat can cause the skin to dry out, stripping the skin from its natural oils. Tone it down a bit. I would say showering for about 5-10 minutes is max and 15 mins if washing the hair.

2) Not masking in the shower
     Masking in the shower is very efficient. While showering opens up the pores from the warmth of the water, the mask will work its magic into those pores, which is soaking up the vitamins and minerals from the mask into the skin.

3) Shaving first
     For extra soft, silky skins, shave after you've showered or even during your shower. The pores will have opened up and the hairs will be softened which makes it easier to shave plus, extra silky skin.

4) Using old loofahs
     Did you know that keeping a loofah for quite some time will eventually develop bacteria on it? You should change your loofah every month and store it in a dry place.

5) Not moisturizing after showering
     The first thing you want to do when you get out of the shower is to pat your skin dry and move straight to moisturizer. Moisturizing right after a shower will help lock in those vitamins and rehydrate the skin. Don't ever skip this step.
